HOPE (Helping Other People Eat) Garden
The harvest is in! In this, our first year of gardening, we learned so much about team work, God's grace and the importance of sharing with our neighbors.
The HOPE Garden was a project waiting to happen ... years ago God blessed the St. Paul's congregation with a lovely plot of land, a place where strawberries used to grow ... and now we've reaped the reward of a lot of sweat, a little planning, some good friendship and God's power of creation. Thank you to all who lent a hand to planting, watering and digging up all those potatoes, and finally delivering them!
God blessed us with 150 lbs of potatoes and we shared them with Lydia Home (a women's transition house run by Union Gospel Mission), a men's transition house, the St. Joseph's Food Bank, Mission Food Bank, and The Haven in the Hollows.
