Rev. Michelle Yoon arrives at St. Paul’s with a diverse background in children’s ministry and multicultural ministry. Having grown up in Seoul, Korea, she began her church work at age 14 and furthered her exposure to various cultures through mission trips to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Upon emigrating to Canada, Michelle advanced her education by obtaining a Bachelor of Education from Tyndale University and a Master of Divinity from Knox College, Toronto. Currently, she is a candidate for the Master of Pastoral Studies (Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy) program at Knox College. Additionally, she is registered as a psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Before coming to BC, Rev. Yoon served Knox Presbyterian Church in Crieff, Ontario, where she had been a devoted minister for nearly five and a half years. With her wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to ministry, Michelle is dedicated to fostering a supportive community through her work within the church. Her passion for pastoral care and psychotherapy will be integral to her approach in providing compassionate leadership to the people of St. Paul’s.
Michelle serves two churches in the Fraser Valley in a 2-Point charge: Bradner Presbyterian and St. Paul’s Presbyterian.
